Dear Middle School Families,
With a great end to the school year, we now look forward to the 2019-20 school year. One component of gearing up for next year will be the purchasing of uniforms. In preparation, it is important to communicate the middle school uniform policy and guidelines.
Before ordering new uniforms, please review the
attached middle school uniform policy and
reminders. Important highlights include:
Uniform Highlights for Girls:
- Middle school uniform styles and options are different from elementary school, particularly in regards to uniform skirts.
- 6th through 8th grade girls may not wear elementary skirts or skorts; they may only wear middle school-approved styles.
- Middle school skirts may be no shorter than three inches above the knee.
- Whether returning or new, please ensure uniform skirts meet this requirement.
- Beginning this year, hybrid/dri-fit material for shorts is permitted provided the color and style follows dress code guidelines: navy or tan and chino-style.
It is important to be aware of uniform policy and ensure proper uniform attire as dress code will be
enforced beginning the first day of school.
We appreciate your support and partnership and look forward to seeing your student on August 26th! If you have any questions or concerns regarding the middle school uniform policy or dress code guidelines, please feel free to email Katie Niles, the middle school dean, at
[email protected].
Sincerely,
|
