Dear Middle School Families,

Last Thursday, our last day of school began with the celebration to honor our eighth-graders, the Class of 2025 (watch video coverage). It was great to be together with families on campus again and finish the year with a community gathering. There are a few end-of-year items I would like to inform you about. Please read carefully as some information regarding next school year is included.

Summer Reading
Please read this letter regarding summer reading prepared by our Language Arts Department.

Fourth-quarter and second-semester grades will be available for view in the mySchoolApp on Wednesday, June 16th.

If your child (rising seventh- or eighth-grader) did not turn in their iPad on the last day of school, please drop the iPad off at the middle school office by this Friday, June 11th. Students will be given their iPads when school begins in August.

Middle School Math Club 2021-22
Thanks to Math Department Chair Katie Castle, I am so excited to announce “Mathemagicians,” the new middle school math club! We will partner with upper-schoolers to bring this new club to the Middle School. We invite all students to join! This club will be for students who want to increase their math skills, students who want to compete in math competitions, and students who just want to have some fun and solve puzzles. Mrs. Castle is excited to have more opportunities to do math with your children! More details to follow.

I will be sending out separate letters tomorrow with information on math placement and course electives. Please look for those. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Happy summer!

Shaka Arnold
