Good friends and neighbours: Mayor's Holiday Message
Aina DeViet Headshot
Hello everyone,

I don’t believe there’s much in our lives that did not change in 2020! Although I know the changes brought sadness, discomfort, stress and fatigue, I also know that I’ve been amazed at the generosity, kindness and support that’s been demonstrated in our community. I want to thank all of you for doing your part in trying to contain the spread of COVID and thinking of so many ways of being a good friends and neighbours.

As we count down to the new year, I hope you will find safe ways to celebrate this holiday season, to create memories and share time with those you care about. I wish you the very best in the coming year and hope it brings a return to life as we’d really like it to be!

Sincerely,
Aina

Mayor Aina DeViet

No change to Water Rates for 2021
There is no increase to water, wastewater and stormwater fees for 2021.

Water, wastewater and stormwater fees pay for the day-to-day operation and long-term maintenance of our water system. They ensure that we have a safe, clean and reliable water supply, proper wastewater treatment, and well-maintained infrastructure to protect water quality and lower the risk of flooding.

Fire Holiday Safety Tips
Fire Safe for the Holidays
Typically home fires happen when people get preoccupied or distracted -- something that is easy to do in the busy holiday season.

Be fire safe for the holidays: Stay in the kitchen when cooking, ensure candles are out before you leave the room, and safely butt out cigarettes. And don't forget to do test your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms!
