Here’s a quick look at some highlights from recent Middlesex Centre Council meetings:



• January 28: Council approved changes in principle to the Zoning By-law to support more housing options, including additional residential units. Council also approved funding for community groups and events through the annual Community Grants program. The 2026 Official Plan Review was formally launched during the meeting.
• February 11: Council formally adopted the Zoning By-law amendments, passed an Interim Control By-law for Arva, reviewed 2025 speed radar results, and received year-end updates on municipal IT, building, and water services.

Looking for a fun family activity? Thanks to local sponsors, we are pleased to offer free weekend public skating at the Ilderton Arena and Komoka Wellness Centre.

Registration for early spring recreation programs is now open!

Programs include youth soccer, fitness, pickleball, Pilates, yoga, line dancing, and workshops on topics from fraud prevention to managing chronic pain to gardening to sourdough breadmaking. Come find your fun at one of the low-cost recreation programs offered at locations across Middlesex Centre.

We’re looking for residents to volunteer their homes to test for lead in the municipality’s drinking water system. Tests take 5 minutes plus a little preparation time and use less than 5 litres of water.

If you can help, please contact the municipal office to arrange an appointment, and include your address in your message.

When emergencies happen, the on-call, professional firefighters of Middlesex Centre are ready to respond at any moment.

Help our firefighters get to their emergency calls quickly and safely. Our firefighters flash green lights in the front of their personal vehicles when they are responding to an emergency. If you "see green" pull over if it is safe to do so, and let our firefighters pass!
