Preparing for Winter Road Conditions

As construction season comes to a close, Middlesex Centre public works staff are getting ready for the winter weather to come. This includes removing the traffic calming measures (speed humps and centre-line markers) that were installed over the summer, and tuning up the snow plows.

No Overnight Parking – There is no parking on municipal roads between 2:00 and 7:00 a.m. from Labour Day to Victoria Day. The restriction on overnight parking applies at all times, even when there is no snow in the forecast.

Bring in Sports Nets & Check Mailboxes – Remember to bring in your basketball and hockey nets from the edge of the road and out of the way of snow plows. If you are on a rural road, check that your mailbox is securely attached and solidly in the ground.
