Municipal Facilities and Services Update
Council and staff continue to monitor and respond to the changing COVID-19 situation in our area. Here are a few recent updates:

  • Ilderton Arena is now open. As with the arenas in Komoka, special rules apply for use/rental. Contact our facilities booking staff if you have questions. Recreational skating and pick-up hockey programs are not offered at this time.

  • Appointments are required for services offered at the municipal office such as building, planning and those provided by the municipal clerk (weddings, lottery licensing, etc.). To book an appointment, contact customer service.


Please remember to take care when out and about in our community: practice physical distancing, wash your hands, follow provincial direction on social gatherings, and wear a mask in all indoor spaces that are publicly accessible.
COVID-19 Testing in Middlesex Centre

The Middlesex London Paramedics Service is conducting COVID-19 testing at the Komoka Wellness Centre on Oct 7, and the Ilderton Arena on Oct 9, 2020. Both events run 11 am to 4 pm, and testing will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thank you to everyone that completed the Budget 2021 section of the "Looking Ahead" Survey. Your responses and comments were summarized and presented to Council as part of their Sept 23, 2020, meeting, and are available for review on our website.

Chalk One Up for Fire Safety - Contest for Middlesex Centre Youth
Chalks ready, set, draw!

Middlesex Centre Fire Services is running a "Chalk One Up for Fire Safety!" Contest as part of Fire Prevention Week.

Young people are encouraged to draw or write a fire safety tip on their driveway or sidewalk using chalk, and then email a photo of the message to (Parents / adults should ensure the message is written in a safe manner, and help with submitting the photo if required.)

Submissions from Middlesex Centre residents under the age of 18 will be accepted until Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

All eligible submissions will be entered into a draw to win a Beats Headphones Prize Pack (1st prize) or a Dollarama Gift Card Prize Pack (2nd prize)!
Winter's Coming! Time to Check your Heating Systems
Middlesex Centre Fire Services wants to remind you that now is the time to have your furnace, chimney and other heating systems checked by a qualified technician. These systems may have problems you can’t see, and should be cleaned and inspected every year.

Grass Clippings & Leaves - "Don't Blow It!" onto Roads

Did you know that blowing grass and leaves onto roads can cause potholes to form, limit road drainage, and reduce vehicle traction? Please do your part to improve road safety and maintenance, and don't blow grass clippings or leaves on the road.
