Welcome to the first edition of our email newsletter, the "Middlesex Centre Communicator"!
After many requests, the Municipality of Middlesex Centre will now provide another platform to communicate with residents in a regular fashion. We plan to release a monthly newsletter through email, and also use the mailing list to push out important and time-sensitive news and events.

Community News & Events
GOLD!! A huge Middlesex Centre congratulations to Scott Moir and Tessa virtue on their Olympic Ice Dancing gold medal! The pair are now the most decorated Olympic figure skaters in history with five medals - three golds and two silvers

Many residents were packed into a sold out event at the Ilderton Community Centre to cheer on our local Olympians. The community also showed outstanding support with the "Paint the Town Red" campaign.

Did you Know?
The Ilderton Legion Branch 531 offers up a full breakfast every second Sunday of the month from 9:30 am -1:30 pm (except July/August). The full breakfast is $8.00 The next upcoming breakfasts are Sunday, March 11 and Sunday, April 8th.

The Ilderton Legion is also hosting an Easter Bingo on March 24th at 8:00 pm. Fully licensed.

Stormwater Management in Middlesex Centre
The recent snow-melting and accompanying rainfall in Middlesex Centre resulted in many closed roads across the municipality. Stormwater if not controlled, can wreak havoc and cause many issues for residents. The Municipality has been trying to proactively address stormwater management in Middlesex Centre. Please take some time to watch our video to see how Middlesex Centre is addressing the issue:
Middlesex Centre Settlement Area Stormwater Master Plan
The Municipality is undertaking a storm drainage study for each of its settlement areas - Arva, Birr, Ballymote, Bryanston, Coldstream, Denfield, Ilderton, Kilworth, Komoka,Lobo, Melrose, and Poplar Hill (Delaware Community Settlement Area Stormwater master plan previously completed)

The Master Plan is intended to provide a strategy for the implementation or enhancement of a storm drainage system for the aforementioned settlement areas including:
  • an analysis of the existing system components resulting in recommendations for improvements and modifications to the existing system;
  • and the identification of preferred solutions for the servicing of future growth and development within the community
