MIDDLESEX LONDON ONTARIO HEALTH TEAM - PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS | |

Access to Primary Care: The Middlesex London Ontario Health Team (MLOHT) and London Middlesex Primary Care Alliance (LMPCA) successfully held a town hall to discuss the valuable role of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in Ontario and the business model for hiring a NP in a Family Health Organization (FHO) Patient Enrollment Model. Over 30 Family Physicians and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) participated in the town hall, engaging in numerous interactive discussions between the panel and fellow participants.

CITY OF LONDON - COLD WEATHER RESPONSE 2024 |
The City of London and community partners want to make sure that as many people as possible are out of the cold this winter.
There are several options, depending on which is most appropriate for the individual seeking shelter: daytime drop-in programs, night-time drop-in programs, and overnight spaces.

IN THE KNOW - PALLIATIVE EDUCATION SERIES |
The Palliative Pain & Symptom Management Consultation Program of St. Joseph’s Health Care would like to invite physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and all other health care providers who are interested in bolstering their palliative care knowledge to sign up for the In the Know: Palliative Education Series.
The series runs virtually on zoom and the focus this year us on effective symptom management essentials. Each month’s topic includes the same speaker for a lunch session and an evening session.

The PCDM curriculum develops competency on Health Care Consent, Advance Care Planning, and Goals of Care conversations.
Learners will move beyond advancing their knowledge and attitudes to develop clinical skills.

Palliative Care Education (PACE) for Personal Support Workers (PSWs) |
PACE for PSWs is an online, comprehensive 10 course national certificate program offered in partnership with HPCO, Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association and Life and Death Matters.
- Program completion time: 30 hours, asynchronous.
- Available in English and French.
- PSW participants get Life and Death Matters' online text: Integrating a Palliative Approach, 2nd Edition
