Community HealthPathways Officially Launched

The Middlesex London Primary Care Network and the Middlesex London Ontario Health Team are excited to announce that Community HealthPathways, a globally recognized platform allowing for faster access to evidence-based care pathways and local services for clinicians in our communities, has officially launched.


If you already confirmed your membership with MLPCN, check your email (from Mariam Al-Azem) to complete the final step of HealthPathways enrolment and login credentials.


If you have not confirmed your membership to MLPCN you can do so HERE and then complete your HealthPathways enrolment at Home - Community HealthPathways Middlesex London. You can also use this link if you are not sure you received the email.

TELUS - Practice Solutions Suite (PSS) Training Updates

Free TELUS PSS Training – Updated dates and registration is now open. Dates run from June 24 through August 21. Click here to register. If you have any questions, you can email practicefacilitation@mloht.ca.


Bone Mineral Density - Victoria Hospital

LHSC’s Victoria Hospital has opened a new Bone Mineral Density (BMD) modality to expand access to specialized diagnostic imaging and support timely care for patients requiring osteoporosis assessment, fracture risk evaluation and bone health monitoring. For more information on referrals or to connect with the BMD team, contact Michelle Falkiner, Coordinator VH Radiology, at 519-685-8500 x32545.

 

How to Request a BMD:

  • External requests: Complete the attached requisition and fax to 519-667-6826.
  • Accuro users: Use form "LHSC Bone Mineral Density Requisition_HP_0525" (Publisher: mlindsey).
  • Telus PSS users: Email practicefacilitation@mloht.ca to request the .CFM file.

Cervical collection reminder

Just a quick note that ThinPrep® Pap Test vials (white and purple vials) should be used for all testing in the OCSP. ThinPrep® PreservCyt vials (green vials) are not approved by Health Canada for the transportation and preservation of gynecologic samples (e.g. cervical and vaginal samples). If you have any questions, please contact Ontario Health at cancerinfo@ontariohealth.ca

Measles Update: Vaccination Recommendations

Given the ongoing measles outbreak in southwestern Ontario, the Middlesex-London Health Unit is now encouraging residents to seek early vaccination for children under the age of five. You can get more information on the Health Unit website.

Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners

Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners are currently accepting appointments on June 17 and 18 for individuals, or family members, who have cognitive concerns and no established diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment or early dementia due to Alzheimer Disease. Ontario AI Scribe Program

The Ontario AI Scribe Program is now available for any healthcare provider, including primary care. This program involves provincially negotiated pricing, legal liability, privacy contracts, and includes onboarding and change management support from Supply Ontario. A webinar regarding this is scheduled for Monday, June 16 (Noon to 1 p.m.). You can register for this session on the Ontario MD Practice Hub website.


This is not to be confused with the Canada Health Infoway grant opportunity you may have also seen. That is separate, distinct and unrelated to the Ontario AI Scribe Program.
