Middletown Township is Open for Business!

As Middletown Township and the surrounding region begin to reopen following COVID-19 closures, many local businesses are resuming operations.

The Middletown Township Economic Reopening Task Force, a group of local business leaders and elected officials, has been working to provide assistance for businesses in the Middletown Township community.  The Taskforce has created a public information campaign, "Middletown Safe," to spread the word that businesses are opening back up again.

A sign program is launching Friday, June 12th, and will provide Middletown Township businesses with kits free of charge that include floor decals, yard signs, and fliers.

Businesses can pick up sign packages at the Middletown Township Municipal Center; Robin Kemmerer Associates, Inc., in Levittown; and Inspire Federal Credit Union in Langhorne.  Additional information can be found   on our website .

The Taskforce has also created an online information portal with important resources for small businesses reopening to a new set of community safety procedures.
Middletown Township Playgrounds Now Open

After one week of being in the "yellow phase" of reopening and as active COVID-19 cases continue to trend downward, the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors has decided to reopen all playgrounds at Middletown Township parks.

Visitors and their children are encouraged to practice social distancing out of respect for others. Frequent hand washing and hand sanitizing should be practiced before and after children play.

Residents have the option to submit service requests for issues including potholes, code violations, downed trees, and streetlight outages, to name a few.

Response to Ongoing Protests

The following is an excerpt from an open letter to the Middletown Township Community from the Board of Supervisors.

Middletown Township is a community comprised of individuals from many different cultures, religions, and human experiences. We are extremely proud of this diversity. The Township actively works to cultivate unity and support our differences. A diverse Middletown is one that is inclusive of all persons, races, ethnicities, religions, beliefs, and abilities. Diversity is what makes this community our community.

To the protestors: we stand with you and our police and emergency responders stand ready to protect your right to peaceably assemble and be heard, and we promise to listen as you speak.

To our police officers: we stand with you and thank you for putting yourselves at risk to keep our community safe and protect our neighbors.

To the looters and those who seek to take advantage of this unrest to commit crimes: we will protect our community. Your actions are unwelcome here.
