Riverfolk

Miss the show? It's not too late to join the joyful celebration of music and community at RIVERFOLK, a festival variety show presented by Here In The Valley, hosted by Northern Stage, and live-streamed by CATV and rebroadcast on-air. Featuring Americana artists Ida Mae Specker, The Western Terrestrials, Jakob Breitbach and Tommy Crawford, and the Route 5 Revival House Band (Ed Eastridge, Marcus Copening, Ben Kogan, and Alex Kelley) on a hot summer night in the Courtyard Theater, why not pick up some Wicked Good BBQ, crack a beer and jam out all over again?

Lebanon's inaugural Juneteenth celebration

The City of Lebanon Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commission invited the community to join the City’s inaugural Juneteenth celebration on June 19, 2022 Colburn Park. The program included musical performances, a reading of the Emancipation Proclamation, and a presentation about formerly enslaved people who resided in Lebanon and the abolitionist movement in our community. Produced by David Eric with Irina Stan for CATV and the City of Lebanon, NH.

WRIF Filmmaker Talk Back: Carajita

In WRIF and Tribeca Film festival Official Selection CARAJITA, Sara and her nanny Yarisa have a relationship that seems to transcend their class conditions: they are the closest thing to a daughter-mother, but an accident will test their intimate loyalty and the innocent illusion that nothing can separate them. Join post-screening Q&A with directors Silvina Schnicer and Ulises Porra of CARAJITA, moderated and translated by Laura Plasencia and Dolores Resaro at WRIF Festival 2022 (White River Indie Films) Briggs Opera House, White River Junction, VT. (May 2022)

jamCAMP: Breaking News & Multimedia Journalism

By Aida Donahue

July 13, 2022

White River Junction, VT –  jamCamp's Breaking News & Multimedia Journalism program helps kids to learn about the behind the scenes of journalism and news broadcasting, while being encouraged to use a hands-on approach. They create their own stories and reports and are taught how to use cameras, interview, edit, and write their own local reports on White River Junction, VT. Each camper is given the opportunity to both acquire new talents and discover their passions during this life-changing week of non-stop creativity.

Along with making their own reports, campers are able to meet with professional journalists such as Maggie Cassidy (Managing Deputy Editor at VT Digger), Jim Kenyon (Columnist at The Valley News), Will Parsons (CNBC Segment Producer), Elizabeth Wilcox (Freelance journalist), and Rob Gurwitt (publisher of Daybreak). These visits allow the kids to get direct advice from people working in the field.
