Dear Church Family,

Christ the Lord has Risen! I pray that you had a meaningful Easter, that you are living life with an Easter Heart. This Sunday we will be blessed in our worship service. Randy Hildebrant has sent a sermon video. Many of you may recognize his name, he is the church and community worker at God’s Country Cooperative Parish. The purpose of God’s Country Cooperative Parish is to help the churches of the parish in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ by strengthening them through ministering to each other, through sharing talents and resources, and through reaching out to all people by pastor and laity.

For many years our church has been in partnership with their ministries in the Upper Peninsula. We have had adult teams that travel for mission work, and we have helped with home repairs, community projects, and a school transformation so that their ministry can expand in the area. This year our mission connection will also expand to include a youth work team that will travel north in August. We are thankful that Randy will be our preacher of the day. We pray blessing on all the work that God’s Country Cooperative Parish is engaged with this year. Please look for future articles about ways that you can support this ministry partnership.

Love and Peace in Christ,
Rev. Mary

A grief process ministry called "Light for the Journey" will begin on April 14th at 10AM in-person in the chapel & on Zoom. This will be an 8 week course using Grieving Forward: Death Happened Now What? by Clough and Pouliot as our guide. April Mission of the Month
GOD’S COUNTRY COOPERATIVE PARISH is 7 churches in four counties that banded together to survive and thrive where resources are miles apart; in an area of harsh winters, low employment opportunities, and poverty levels at or below the national and state averages. Your gifts to GOD’S COUNTRY COOPERATIVE PARISH are NOT used to send our volunteers on mission trips, but are used to help support the actual mission of GCCP: the administrative needs, interns, materials, and additional programs that have been added over the years. Please consider showing financial love for our neighbors in the Upper Peninsula or dropping off NEW socks and underwear for the children. Donations may be placed the the church drop-box, or in one of the bins in the parlor or by the front entrance by May 1st.
