THE CHURCH HAS LEFT THE BUILIDING MAY 2 - SAVE THE DATE!
Yes … we were forced to leave the building months ago and worship together online, but on May 2, 2021 we can be together in another way! The church will not hold what you know to be a worship service – not inside the church -- but we will perform acts of God’s love in the community in a safe and socially distanced manner. We will use Facebook Live and YouTube throughout the day! This biennial event will be the wrap of our church-wide Love Your Neighbor series and there will be projects and services available for all ages and abilities. We will even have projects for those of you not comfortable leaving your homes. In years past we have been able to do things like clearing a cemetery of debris; painting the gazebo at Paul Baker Memorial Park; painting and clearing gardens at Witch’s Hat Depot; cleaning up downtown and the rail-trail; clearing the gardens at senior & rehab homes; projects with Active Faith & VFW. The Mission Outreach Team is busy working on projects and services in which we all can do.
If you have a special skill set, let us know so we can utilize you to the fullest! If you have any leads on projects that would take less than 3 hours – a neighbor struggling with yard work, a local organization you work with in need of some support with cleaning/landscaping/painting, please contact the church office. Please keep in mind, this is different than work the Men’s Group or Valley Below might do for our church members – we are looking for projects that takes the Church to our neighbors and community and puts our love into action. Living out Love Your Neighbor to its truest and fullest extent!
Coming Soon: Love Your Neighbor shirts that will be used for this event and more throughout this series! Sign-ups to participate in The Church Has Left The Building will be released in April.
