Dear Friends,
Can you believe we are are almost to the end of July? We wait all winter for warm weather and summer fun and then it seems to go by quickly. But there is still summer ahead of us. Still opportunities to be outside and explore the gift of God’s creation, still time to worship each Sunday with your church family (any guesses to which apostles are left?), still time to pray for our adult and youth missionaries, still time to enjoy fishing or hiking or biking, still time to breathe in and breathe out and to experience God in the here and now. The author is unknown, but I would like to share this summer blessing:
May you walk with God
This summer
In whatever you do
Wherever you go
Walking with God means...
Walking with honesty
And with courage,
Walking with love
And respect
And concern for the feelings of others
May you talk to God
This summer
And every day and
In every situation
Talking with God means...
Praying words of praise
For the beauty of creation
Saying prayers of thanks
For friends and good times,
Asking God's help
In all your decisions
Expressing sorrow
When you have failed
May you talk with God
Every day. Amen.
Blessings, Rev. Mary
