Summer often brings vacations, family gatherings, lake days, and changing routines, but I hope worship will continue to be an important part of your week. There is something beautiful about coming together as one church family — praying, singing, encouraging one another, and remembering God’s faithful presence in every season of life.
This summer will also be a meaningful season of transition for our congregation as we say goodbye and then you prepare to welcome Pastor Nick into the life of your church. Transitions can bring both gratitude and uncertainty, joy and sadness, but they also remind us that God continues to guide the church forward with hope and grace. I encourage you to stay connected, worship often, and be part of this important chapter in the life of your church family.
Please note that during the summer schedule there will be no Sunday School or Coffee Hour. However, you are warmly invited to bring your favorite mug or drink with you each week — coffee, tea, water, soda, or whatever helps you feel at home as you gather together for worship and fellowship.
Scripture reminds us of the gift and importance of gathering together in worship: “Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another…” — Hebrews 10:24–25
I give thanks knowing that together you will be worshiping throughout the summer months as one church family — celebrating where God has been with you, honoring the season of transition that God is in, and trusting God for all that is ahead.
Love and Peace in Christ, Rev. Mary
