Church Has Left the Building

My heart is still filled with joy as I reflect back on our Mission Driven day. 147 people in service on one day for a total of 367 ½ hours of ministry in South Lyon working on 26 different projects. Plus there were over 100 hours of planning that went into putting all the details together so that our Church Has Left the Building service could happen. We set a goal of 190 people in service, but God had other plans and 147 people is exactly what the Holy Spirit pulled together in order to make this our biggest Church Has Left the Building ever. Painting, fixing porches, picking up sticks for Jesus, gardening, cooking, serving, praying, and so much more happened because you all showed up to be God’s hands and feet on May 21st.

The amazing thing is that we still have a Family Mission Trip, a Summer Lunch Program, an Adult Mission Trip, and a Youth Mission Experience all happening before Labor Day.  John 15:12 states “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” Thank you for being a church that loves others so deeply.

Special Thank you to Jessica Mytty for chairing and organizing this big event, to Jen Denny for coordinating all the food, and for all the servant hearted people who helped plan, prayed, and showed up for 2023 Church Has Left the Building.

Enjoy a few of these photos. Love and peace in Christ, Rev. Mary
