Staff Love Offering

Christmas 2024

As we enjoy the wonder of the Christmas season, it is a tradition at Northbrook that we demonstrate our appreciation for our staff with a Christmas Love Offering. Please consider making a special contribution (designate it to "Staff Love Gift") during the coming weeks to recognize the many ways that they bless our lives throughout the year.

Tree Sale:

Sale Starts Friday, Nov 29

This is the 21st year of selling Fraser Fir Christmas trees from NC to raise funds in support of children. Every dollar of profit goes to support this Ministry.

Additionally, we have a new tree vendor this year!!!!! Cline Church Nursery, a North Carolina, family run, faith-based operation selling high quality Fraser Furs. In 2023 they were selected to provide a Christmas tree to the White House. We are super excited for this new partnership!!

Volunteer to help unload or to work the tree lot. We especially need volunteers on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving!!!

Advent Festival

December 4

Volunteers Needed

Our Annual Advent Festival is almost here and we need YOU to help it be a success! Like last year, we are going to have a crockpot soup bar to feed the amazing families and congregants who come. Then we will make Chrismon ornaments, have a short Advent worship service, make Advent wreaths to take home, and have pictures with Santa!

We would love for you to bring a crockpot of any soup you like the day of the event.

We also need volunteers to help the kiddos make Chrismon ornaments and Advent wreaths.

Behold: Our 2024 Generosity Campaign:

To date we have received 129 pledges totaling $1,211,258 for 2025. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to the Behold generosity initiative.

If you have not yet made your commitment for 2025, you may do so HERE.

From Sherri Morgan, Director of Development, North Fulton Community Charities

"Thank you for your recent $450 donation to North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC). Your support is crucial as we see an increasing need for assistance in North Fulton. Your contribution directly benefits our local community, assisting your neighbors in Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton and Mountain Park. This month, we embark upon the holiday season and will serve 566 families registered to attend the CoatGiving Program. In total, NFCC serves more than 9,000 adults and children each year. What a blessing it is to know that there are people like you who value providing opportunities for the whole community to thrive. Your generosity makes a difference in the lives of many. We truly appreciate you!"

Thank You Northbrook UMC

Thank you to everyone who offered to help with the Angel Tree gifts for Murphy Harpst. The Missions Committee has graciously offered to purchase the gifts for the children.

Opportunities to Serve

Habitat for Humanity

The 2025 Ecumenical Build will begin on Saturday, January 18th with the First Nail ceremony. The location of this year's house is 617 Hickory Nut Drive, Canton, GA. Through the generosity of the Missions Committee, Northbrook has increased its commitment for 2025 and we will have more opportunities to serve. We will have two volunteer slots on January 18th for the First Nail ceremony and beginning framing, and 8 volunteer slots each for both March 29th and April 5 for interior painting. Please begin to prayerfully consider your participation in these expanded opportunities. We also have been asked to provide breakfast and lunch for one of the interior painting days so I am seeking volunteers who are willing to provide one or both of these meals for 25 building volunteers on either March 29th or April 5th. If you are so inclined, please go ahead and register to volunteer for the building opportunities using the link below.
