On Commitment Sunday, there will be one combined service at 11:00 in the sanctuary with Rev. Dr. Rodrigo Cruz preaching. The service will be followed by a potluck luncheon and mortgage burning ceremony. There will also be inflatables for the kids.

The main course for the luncheon will be provided by the church and the sides, salads and desserts provided by the congregation. Please use the link below to RSVP and designate what dish you will bring.

Pastor Appreciation Month

October 2024

"Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other." 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

As we enter the month of October, please join the Staff Parish Relations Committee in expressing gratitude to our Northbrook Pastors: Jennie Andone, Josh McDaniel, and Kena Newkirk. They are the spiritual leaders who guide us, inspire us, and support us in our faith journeys. They work tirelessly to prepare sermons, counsel individuals, and lead our community.

We encourage you to pray for our clergy and show your appreciation by offering words of encouragement, writing a note, or simply expressing your gratitude in person. We will have baskets in the Narthex and Simmons Hall throughout the month of October to collect notes and cards of appreciation.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank You for Jennie, Josh, and Kena. Thank You for blessing our church family with their leadership and wisdom. Thank You for giving them the strength and dedication to minister to us beyond what we see on Sunday mornings. May we all strive to follow the example of our clergy and show love, support, and appreciation for one another.

In Jesus’ name we pray,

Amen.

Our Behold Generosity Initiative will begin this Sunday. We will be looking into God's Abundance, God's Blessings, God's Community, and God's Dreams. You will begin receiving devotions next Monday written by members of the Northbrook staff and congregation on the ways we BEHOLD God in our midst. Visit the Behold page on the Northbrook website for more information, to see the weekly videos, or to find your online commitment card.
