Our modern worship service, The Brook, returns January 22. The Brook needs many hands doing small jobs to make this service a worshipful, welcoming place. We are looking for people each Sunday to share your faith story, run ProPresenter (slides during worship), and deliver a Children's Moment (during The Brook or traditional worship. Depending on the role, the time commitment Sunday mornings is approximately 9 a.m. to noon. Sign up here.

Encounter

Women's Bible Study. If you desire a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God, please join us for a study of the book Awakening to God by Gerard Long. We will meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. starting TONIGHT in room 206. The book is available on Amazon and Audible, or the church office can order one for you. Register here

Disciple Fast Track, an adaptation of the original, bestselling Disciple Bible Study, provides a viable option for busy people seeking comprehensive engagement over time with the entire biblical text. Fast Track groups meet for a total of 24 weeks, devoting 12 weeks each to the Old Testament and the New Testament. The first session will be the Old Testament and will begin meeting January 22, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Room 233. Sign up here.

Youth Discovery Weekend. Youth are invited to this in-town retreat February 3-5, designed to build community, serve others, and dive deeper into faith with Jesus Christ. Students will be staying at host homes, worshiping and studying together in the Summit, and volunteering in the community. Allowances will be made for other commitment; come to as much as you can. Register here.

Weekly Prayer. Join us on Mondays at 10 a.m. on Facebook Live. Each week a different member of our worship staff / clergy will lead in prayer.

Eight for 8ight is back again! These are small groups where people can pursue authentic community and spiritual growth. Groups will consist of eight people meeting for eight weeks with a host leader. Save the date and sign up! Northbrook UMC is hosting three Red Cross blood drives in 2023. You can register for a slot by searching by location and/or date for Northbrook UMC and February 7, May 16 or September 19.

Upward Soccer at Northbrook UMC exists to provide a fun and healthy outlet for the children in our community. Coached by parent and community volunteers, children learn the basics of the sport and the Christian faith in a supportive and nurturing environment. All soccer games and practices occur at the Northbrook soccer fields in the back of the parking lot. Boys and girls ages 3 through 1st grade are welcome! Registration for the spring 2023 soccer season opens January 23. For more info, visit the website.

The Roswell Rotary Club is searching for a host family for the Rotary youth exchange student from Thailand. She is 16 years old and attending Roswell High School this school year. Within the Rotary exchange program, during her exchange year, she lives with three host families in the area; she is currently with her second host family. To learn more about qualifying as a host family, please contact Alesia Booth.

NFCC collaborates with many local providers to provide the resources necessary to help individuals and families remain stable in our community.
