Announcements
Northbrook, watch your email for a message coming tomorrow for ways you can help prior to the next Roswell City Council meeting regarding the sale of the Woodstock Road property, formerly Christ UMC.
The Staff Parish Relations Committee would like to show our deep appreciation for Director of Children's Ministry, Lorin Tate. Lorin has done an outstanding job for the families at Northbrook and in the community. As is the tradition of Northbrook, we invite you to bring a card expressing your appreciation and or contribute to a Love Offering to say thank you. There will be a basket in the Narthex of the church for you to place your cards on June 26. In addition, you can make a gift online and designate it for "Lorin Tate Love Offering." You can also mail your card/gift or drop it off at the front office.

Please take a moment to read the comments below, made by Lorin’s peers and supervisor.
  • Lorin has been such an amazing part of our team. Her gentle heart and loving spirit has been such a blessing to Northbrook. Her impact on our children and their families during these past 15 months has been amazing. She will be missed!
  • Lorin brings a spirit of positivity and love. She is very diligent and goes above and beyond what her job requires. Lorin personifies being a disciple of Jesus by doing all she can to transform the world for the better. She also has a really handsome, supportive husband and super cute son. I will miss her so much.
  • I would say the number one thing that has impacted me most about Lorin is her faithfulness to the church and to our staff team! She is always willing to go above and beyond her "position" to make sure everyone else is "covered" and doing well ... all the while being on top of her own stuff!!
  • I have been truly blessed by her Children's moments in the sanctuary, when there are NO children present. Her words of wisdom and encouragement are always just what's needed at that moment, and she is able to adapt to the "adult" congregation within seconds.
  • Lorin is such a special part of Northbrook! She has worked so diligently to make sure the children who are here on Sunday mornings and for special events are loved and cared for while having fun and learning about Jesus. We are going to miss her!
  • Lorin is the hardest working person in ministry that I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Her passion for disciplining children is only surpassed by her love for Jesus. She does everything with great thought and care. I have seen her bloom into a confident teacher, leader, and minister. She will be greatly missed here at Northbrook, but especially as a minister to my son.

Thank you,
Brenda Simpson, Chair, Northbrook UMC Staff-Parish Relations Committee

Worship Arts Camp, July 25-28, is a place to learn the many gifts, talents, and skills we can learn and use to worship God and lead others in worshiping God.

We will make banners and cards, work with puppets, use our voices and move our bodies all in the worship of God. We will also learn about places to serve at the church to aid in worship like serving as an acolyte, being on the altar guild, preparing and serving communion, etc.
