Lent

  • Honor a loved one with an Easter lily this Lenten season. Each lily is $10 and can be given in memory or in honor of someone special. Lilies will be in the Sanctuary late in Lent and are available to take home on Easter Sunday. Order yours here on our website.
  • We need many volunteers for the Easter Festival to hide eggs, serve food, and make s'meeps (S'mores + Peeps). Sign up here.
  • All children PreK-5th are invited to sing in the choir on Palm Sunday, and students 6th-12th grade are invited to mentor and sing with the children. Rehearsal will be March 22 from 5:30-6:45 p.m. We will rehearse for an hour as children, youth, and leaders and then join the chancel choir for the first 15 minutes of their rehearsal. We will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 2 (Palm Sunday) to rehearse again with the Chancel Choir. We need at least two adults to stay for the rehearsal on the 22nd. Sign up to sing or help out.
  • Download a Lenten playlist for The Brook via Spotify.
  • The Prayer Room in Building B will be open for prayer and reflection Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.

There is so much going on at Northbrook during Lent and Easter. See our website for a complete listing.

Encounter

New Spring Bible Study – Get Out of Your Head, by Jennie Martin. Join facilitator Leigh Ann Launius on Wednesday nights April 19-May 31 at 6:30 p.m. in Room 206.

Allen's video-based study will inspire and equip us to transform our emotions, outlook, and even circumstances by taking control of our thoughts. When we submit our minds to Christ, the promises and goodness of God flood our lives in remarkable ways. Books will be made available for purchase at the first meeting on Wednesday, April 19 for $12.

The Discipleship/Spiritual Formation Vision Team is seeking to offer more opportunities for spiritual growth at Northbrook. A survey is coming soon seeking your input for Bible study planning for the remainder of the year. We'd love to hear your thoughts about deepening your relationship with God.

Prayer Ministry. Is prayer your passion? Do you feel strongly about the power of prayer? Would you like to be a part of a Northbrook prayer ministry that will commit to spending time in prayer for the church staff, ministries and programs, congregation and prayer list as well as the Roswell community as a whole? If so, please contact Rev. Elizabeth Pollard. We’d like Northbrook to be a “house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56:7), and would love for you to be a part of that!

Weekly Prayer. Join us on Mondays at 10 a.m. on Facebook Live. Each week a different member of our worship staff / clergy will lead in prayer.
