Fall 2025    7X Midwest Regional Shop of the Year 1990/2002/2004/2008/2009/2012 & 2014

Dear Midwest Masters Members,

We are hopeful that our long-standing commitment to alpine ski racing over the past 40+ years will give you pause to deal with us versus an on-line provider who have provided zero support of the local race community.

*We have provided the local race community over $750,000 in financial support.

*Since 1999 we have facilitated race product testing at Mt. Hood (1999-2022) and since 2022 in Winter Park. This has enabled us to provide our customers the most accurate equipment recommendations void of any manufacturer’s bias.

*Since 1996: 29 of 30 Men’s & 26 of 30 Women’s State SL Champs have been Pierce customers.

*We are now the 1st and only shop in the Midwest to have both the Montana Crystal Rock Stone Grinding System (please see attachment) & Montana Race Edge finishing machine.

*Question: What do Kristina Koznick, Tasha Nelson, Martina Sailer, Lindsey Vonn, Kaylin Richardson, Sterling Grant, Michael Ankeny, Matt Strand, Paula Moltzan, Isaiah Nelson & Camden Palmquist all have in common?

Answer: All were Pierce Skate & Ski customers before they were USST members

*Partnering with Pierce is your 1st step towards the podium!

Come in and take advantage of our expert advice and tremendous savings.

We are a “Certified Race Center” for ATOMIC, DYNASTAR, FISCHER, HEAD, LANGE, LEKI, MARKER, NORDICA, ROSSIGNOL, STOCKLI & SWIX.

This enables us to extend Race Program Pricing on select race product.

*Masters Racers receive a further discount in the form of Bronze Level / PRO pricing (on select items) if they are a current USSA registered Masters athlete.

Please call 952-884-1990 and make an appointment.

Keep in mind that members and their immediate family receive a 15% discount off suggested retail price on most merchandise as well as special rates on ski tuning.

Tyler, Terri & Bart Pierce, Dave Hinz, Eric Jacobson, Ted Petroskey and the rest of the Pierce Staff!

In 1980 Montana of Switzerland imported 3 “Monty” manually operated stone grinders into the U.S., one of them was purchased by John “JP” Pierce and Pierce Skate & Ski and the “ski tuning bar” was immediately raised.

Since 1980 have prided ourselves in being the “the tip of the spear” as it relates to ski tuning. In April 2024 our Service Manager Eric Jacobson & Tyler Pierce travelled to Switzerland on a fact finding mission to Montana of Switzerland as well as to Head, Rossignol & Stockli. The point of the trip was to make sure that our shop was still on the correct path as it relates to being the “tip of the spear” for ski tuning in the Midwest and beyond. The trip laid the foundation for raising the bar yet again. In the Summer 2024 we brought on line the Montana Race Edger which is specifically used as a finishing machine for U16 and FIS level race skis.

After 14 years of solid service we retired our Montana Challenge and in April 2025 we invested $300,000+ and installed the Montana Crystal Rock assuring us that we will continue to deliver the highest level of ski tuning in the Midwest. It is important to note that the Crystal Rock has all of the technological features and advantages of the largest machines that Montana builds but it is scaled down to the service volume of a shop our size.
