Race & Training Pricing

Races are $36 per Race which is inclusive of any required Masters’ license. We typically run TWO races per day (4 total runs), and four to six races over a given weekend.

We offer standard discounts off of the Race Fee:

$12 off per Race if you hold a current USSS license valid for Masters racing
$12 off per Race if you have never raced with us or haven’t raced in 2+ yrs
$12 off per Race if you are age 34 or younger as of December 31, 2022
All Discounts are additive meaning your racing would be FREE if all discounts applied!
Children (under 18 as of December 31, 2022) may race with us as long as a parent/guardian is also racing. The cost per race for children is only $10.

Training Fees

Training fees vary based upon the event
Fall camp at Copper Mountain in Colorado for $125 per day which includes coaching (hosted by Midwest Masters)
Regular training at Buck Hill, including a season-long adults-only Slalom Training night coached by the Buck Hill Ski Team for 10 weeks. Price TBD.

*Lift tickets are not included with any of our training or race fees.

New Website

We are working diligently to get our new website up and running. It is not quite done, however, Registration for all of our events is now open and can be accessed directly using this link. The registration capability is hosted by our partner, AdminSkiRacing.com, and most all Masters Divisions are using this platform. Once on the page, select "Midwest" as the Race Series then hit "Apply". You should see all of our events listed. Right now if you visit www.midwestmasters.org, you will see an "Under Construction page" with links to our schedule and AdminSkiRacing.

Buck Hill SL Training

This is a 10-week program that starts just after the new year, and is coached along with the Buck Hill Ski Team. We will continue to have drill time coached by Peter, Mike, and/or Dave for those interested from 6-7pm, with gate time to follow from 7-8:45. We will also be offering offline video analysis for those that attend nights when we record video. There is an additional cost as this program is run by the Buck Hill Ski Team. The cost is $225 if signed up before Oct 15, and $250 thereafter. New this year, we will have a “drop-in option” available on our website, but spots will be limited each night. The process to register as a "drop in" is TBD but will be communicated via our Fast Times Newsletters and Facebook pages later this fall.

Copper Camp - Only a few spots left!

We've got only a few spots left at our annual Copper Mountain fall camp the week after Thanksgiving.

When?

Sunday, Nov 27 – Wednesday, Nov 30

Sun & Mon: GS drills and gates

Tue & Wed: SL drills and gates

How Much?

$500 (or $125 per day)

Lift Tickets: Estimated $189 per day for lift ticket (or use your Ikon pass). There is also the option to purchase a 4-pack from Copper Mountain for $449.

USSS License Renewal - October 15

Just a few days left to renew your license and save the $25 late fee!

If you’re new to Midwest Masters, this doesn’t apply. Just show up at a race and we’ll take care of any license you may need for racing on your behalf.

Shin Tuck Showdown

We'll be heading back out to Ski Cooper for the Shin-Tuck Showdown once again this season. We don't have 100% confirmation from Ski Cooper and Rocky Mountain, but we anticipate the race will be on again as this is an event with a very long history.
