THUNDERBOLT FAST WAX: A revolution has hit the snow. A revolution that leaves fluorocarbons behind and moves you forward with fluorocarbon-like speed. All without the drama that fluorocarbons leave behind.
The new Fast Wax line of THUNDERBOLT race waxes utilize exciting next-generation speed additives that are better for the environment and still provide breakneck speed and all-day durability.
Thunderbolt utilizes hydrophobic ceramic nano-spheres. When these spheres make it to the surface of your ski, the high surface area provides more water-repelling power where you need it most. Not only does this new additive repel water, but it's super strong structure also provides superior abrasion resistance. This makes snow conditions less of a factor in your quest for speed!
Thunderbolt's underlying wax is made using our existing formulas for the High Speed (HS) wax series. The HS series has always been 100% biodegradable and safe for the environment and will continue to be with the addition of the Thunderbolt additives..
For those of you who used Low Fluoro waxes in the past, the Thunderbolt line is a direct replacement for Fast Wax's line of Low Fluoro waxes.

Jan 28-29: Wild Mountain Border Battle
Midwest Masters will be returning to Wild Mountain for a weekend of racing. We will race GS on Saturday and SL on Sunday. The Border Battle Trophy is a yearly trophy awarded to either Region I (primarily Minnesota) or Region II (primarily Wisconsin and Illinois) whose team scores the most points for all races in the event. The top 10 point scorers based upon Age Class Place Points for each Region are selected. The sum of the Age Class Points for each of the top 10 members are compared to one another and the Region with the most points wins the Border Battle competition and will get their Region and names engraved on the Border Battle trophy.

We will also be offering offline video analysis for those that attend nights when we record video.
Dates: Thursday, January 6 - Thursday, March 9
New to Slalom? Never tried before? Always wanted to but never had the
opportunity or the right equipment? We have you covered.
We have purchased three additional lanes to offer a drop-in option for those new to slalom to provide a level of confidence and familiarity before racing at an event. We also have a full set of slalom gear you can borrow for the session (new FIS atomic Slalom skis from 152 to 165, slalom poles with guards and shin protection). Need the equipment to attend a racing event? We can do that, too. How much will this cost to try? Only $50. This will provide coaching prior to the training and access to the nightly slalom training lanes.along with any required equipment to ensure you are ready for the fun! Come on out and give it a try! Please reach out to training to register for an available session and coordinate any loaner equipment required.
