Gear West Custom Boot fitting Department
Hey Central Division Masters Athletes,
WE racers are all looking for that Perfect Fit. In Alpine Boots Gear West Fit means Comfort / Performance / Accuracy (works with your specific and individual feet issues). The GW boot fitters strive for perfection. Our trained boot fitters have the tools and knowledge to assess your feet, suggest the best boots and the ‘why’, and recommend footbeds (custom or drop-ins) for your unique feet and ski goals. Or we can just fine tune your fit so can you better perform on the slopes next season.
Make an appointment today for all your custom boot fitting needs.
Mark, Dugan, Isabel and Jim will help you find your custom comfort and speed dreams!
Attention
Due to the broken global supply chain, if you see race gear you need, purchase it as soon as you can! We are having a hard time ordering more inventory for this season.

Hello to all and look forward to another season of racing with everyone. One of the keys to having quality USSS Masters races is making sure we have the certified officials for each of the USSS sanctioned races. One of the requirements is that the three jury members must be USSS current certified officials. This means we need to have a group of race crew members that have a referee license or chief of race official. The Third member is the TD which takes a little more work to achieve and we have a couple members that have TD certification. Also one of the USSS requirements for Sanctioned races is that all course setters must have a Referee license.
I know some of you would like to set at our USSS sanctioned races and we need you to attend one of the fall clinics and attend the Referee class and then take the test so you're certified. I’ve included the links to the regions websites so you can check on date/times for alpine official clinics.
Region 1 Also they have set the dates for their AO clinics 11/6/21, 11/7/21 at Buck Hill Approximate start time: 8am
Region 2: No dates set yet so check website to see when updated.
Region 3: No dates set yet so check website to see when updated.

We're back at Copper Mountain for our fall camp the week after Thanksgiving. The camp starts Sunday, Nov 28 and runs 4 days through Wednesday, Dec 1.
Make a week out of it and stay through the following weekend and watch the Birds of Prey World Cup races at Beaver Creek!
Sunday & Monday: GS drills and gates
Tuesday & Wednesday: SL drills and gates
Cost: $100 per day for coaching
$57 per day for lift ticket (or use your Ikon pass)
Come out and get your legs ready for the season!
Check out videos from last season here.
- Focused on all abilities
- Coached by Matt Fox, a Midwest native and longtime coach
- Snow conditions are always fantastic at Copper
- Two sessions per day: one in the gates and one doing drills
- Video review in the evenings
We are officially adding a lane to the camp and will therefore have a GS lane all 4 days! We're also adding Lee Eddy as a 2nd coach. There are still spots left in the camp with the addition of the 2nd lane, so if you were thinking about it, now's the time to sign up as we still anticipate the camp will fill. We want no more than 20 or so campers on each lane each day to keep course conditions great.
