| | Action Required: Home Water Service Line Inspections | |
Boozhoo Water & Sewer Customers,
The Red Cliff Water & Sewer Department is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our community. We’re writing to inform you about an important step we’re taking to protect your drinking water.
Understanding Your Service Line
We’ve identified that the material of your water service line, which connects your home to the main water supply, is currently unknown. To ensure the quality of your water, we need to verify the material of this line.
In-Home Inspection
To accurately determine the material type of your water service line, we’ll need to conduct a brief, in-home inspection. This inspection should take approximately 20 minutes. Please call 715-779-3700 ext. 4406 to schedule an appointment. We offer appointments on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (excluding holidays) between 9 AM and 2:30 PM.
Why is this important?
This inspection is to verify the material type of your water service line to confirm that no lead or galvanized materials were used. Lead and galvanized pipes can pose health risks, especially for young children and pregnant women. By verifying the material of your service line, we can proactively address any potential issues and safeguard your family’s health.
Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at the number above.
Sincerely,
Red Cliff Water & Sewer Department
