It's designed for those who want to learn more about the foundations and beliefs of Unity, and it is a prerequisite for YOU if you are thinking about joining our church famiy as a full fledged member. Whatever your reason, this is a great opportunity to grab a snack and beverage--and maybe take a deeper dive into the history and philosophy of the Unity church. Spotlighting Our Church Family

Jennifer Ferren's services have always been filled with energy, great music and a terrific meditation and message, but lately she has really been bringing her A game--raising the bar higher for each and every service. This Sunday she shared a song about "Connections" that she recently composed, and it was one of many memorable moments in an excellent service.
And the really good news? She will be back with us twice more before the end of this year. Watch our newsletter for the details.
The next to last photo in this group features Gay Gagnon talking about the recent team meeting and the need for more volunteers for many of our teams. She made a special plea for the Hospitality team, now led by Ann Manson. We have a lot of activities planned between now and the end of the year, in addition to the weekly setup of snacks and beverages in our former library. Ann is doing an amazing job, but Gay stressed that we really do need some additional members on this hard-working team. There is a signup sheet on the table at the rear of our sanctuary, but you can also reach out to Ann, Gay, Karl Bauerle (our newest Hospitality team member) Kathy Garcia or me. As Mike Davis said recently, and Jennifer Ferren echoed in our Sunday service, "Teamwork makes Dreamwork."

Gadabouts at Young Harris College -
Pops on the Patio
| | This month the Gadabouts brought their folding chairs to Young Harris College to enjoy music from an orchestra as they presented "Pops on the Patio." Our tireless organizer, Karen Trostle, said, "They started off with a wonderful rendition of Amazing Grace, followed by a moment of silence honoring the memory of the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers on 9-11. That was followed by an eclectic blend of songs from the Mamas and the Papas, Journey, James Bond music--lots of stuff we could sing along with. We had a really great time, and the weather was absolutely superb!" | | |

RECURRING MONTHLY EVENTS:
EVERY THURSDAY - A Course in Miracles - from 10-11:30 AM at the church. Contact Linda Hall at 386-527-4294 for a Zoom link.
Our Meditation group meets at 5 PM - at the church. on the second Wednesday of the month during the summer. Any changes in the schedule will be announced.
UCM Mountain Time Men's Group - The Blairsville Restaurant, 40 Earnest St. The group meets the second Thursday of the month at 9:30 AM unless otherwise noted. The next meeting will be held October 8.
Unity Church of the Mountains - Our 25th Anniversary will be celebrated in conjunction with our annual Thanksgiving get together. Our board is working on plans for some special events to commenorate this milestone. This is also an opportunity for us to be thankful that we own our church property, as we continue to attract more visitors and new members. As we watch our church continue to grow and prosper in every way, we continue to bless the outpouring of love, and the sharing of time, talent and treasures by our members and Friends of Unity.
