Today, September 11, is the official 2025 World Day of Peace. Our Spiritual Leader, Mike Davis, will hold Sacred Space for the first two hours, and at least one person has committed to each succeeding hour until 5 pm. Everyone is welcome to stop by and add your own spiritual energy to this annual event. Prayer is powerful, and when we join together, the results are magnified exponentially. At 5 pm we will all gather out back and share a unique meditative experience as we move silently through our newlh refurbished labyrinth. See you tomorrow!

Bob Dylan and Rod Stewart both wrote songs with this title. They are remarkably similar. They are also remarkably similar to classic Irish blessings, which in turn connect to a deep, deep well of Celtic wisdom and spirituality.

I was surprised to find myself a little overwhelmed with emotion as I sat with a guitar and thought about the life ahead for our new granddaughter, and the life ahead for, well, me. And you. And everyone.

Maybe you’ve felt that too at one time or another, yes?

I’ll be sure to balance the tears with some classic Irish jokes of questionable taste! Please join us on September 14th.

Let's hear a huge round of applause for Mike Rizner and his merry band of men and women who worked hard to get our labyrinth, meditation garden and all of our grounds into tiptop shape for our celebration of the World Day of Prayer. Judging by the expressiions on their faces, it definitely looks like they managed to mix some fun with their hours of toil. Many thanks to everybody who showed up. You epitomize the motto that says, "Many hands make light work!"

September 17 - Meditation - 5 PM at the church.

Sept 18 - A Course in Miracles - 10-11:30 AM at the church, also available via Zoom. For information, call or text Linda Hall at 386-527-4294.

Sept 16-19 - UMMAS Fall Retreat at Lake Junaluska. Mike will conduct two workshops, In the first, he will recruit a Pop Up choir, teach them a couple of songs, and then they will perform like pros before the full assembly that night. The other workshop is sure to be a hit. Mike will lead a very special Taize Connection experience. As we know from our own personal experience, this will be a moving and unforgettable experience for all who attend.
