It's hard to believe that our beloved Mary Anderson is 92 years young. In a recent chat with Jeri Lash, she shared that when she went fishing with her dad, he always told her, "Don't let go of the net." | |

Two ways WE can lend a helping hand | |
|
Here's one way: Our friends at Unity of the Blue Ridge are still working to repair the damage caused by the recent hurricane. We sent one donation from our Pennies from Heaven fund right after the storm, but there is much more that is needed. So there will be a donation jar in the foyer on Sunday. As we reflect on our many blessings during this holiday season, please take a moment to write a check payable to Unity of the Blue Ridge in whatever amount you can afford. As you drop your check into the donation jar, bless it and affirm the good that it will do for these members of our extended church family. For as we give, so shall we receive.
And the second: It is our privilege and our pleasure to partner with Positive Pathways as they continue to serve the individuals and families as they work through their recovery and learn new ways to lead happy and productive lives. Their wish list is posted on our bulletin board in the church hallway. It itemizes the items that they provide to their clients, as well as office supplies, paper goods and other basic necessities for their facility at 43 Hunt Martin St. in Blairsville. For information on their programs, or if you know someone in need of help, contact their director, Shawna Harkins.

On the right is our pretty, perky Board of Trustees secretary, Kathy Garcia. On Wednesday she and Suzi Henry decorated a Christmas tree at the Blairsville Chamber of Commerce. The Tour of Trees is an annual event that attracts many visitors. It will be open to the public starting Dec. 1.

Whether you are young or--like Mary Anderson--young at heart, be sure to mark this date on your calendar. There are many activities planned, and three groups will take turns caroling. Mike Davis and the Unity Mountain Singers will gather in the main lobby at the Union County Community Center at 10 am and finish with a flourish at 11. Our choir has been practicing, but there's always room for more. So why not join in the fun? You'll be glad you did!

MEAL & MEDITATION - Wednesday, November 27. This week there will be a new format. There will be a Meditation gathering (only) at the church at 4 pm. If you have any questions, contact Joy Rider at 239-896-0704. (Texting is best.)
A COURSE IN MIRACLES - Thursday, November 28 at 10 am. It's time for Linda Hall and her husband to return to their Florida home. She will continue to participate via Zoom, and Peggy Lince will be the facilitator present at the meetings, which continually attract more people. At the last meeting, there were 15 attendees. We'll miss your smiling face at the services, Linda. You are a wonderful addition to our church family.
