Carlos Santana's Milagro Foundation reaches

$10,000,000.00 in global grants!

For over a quarter-century, legendary musician Carlos Santana and his Milagro Foundation have been dedicated to a singular mission: supporting the world’s most vulnerable children. Today, the foundation is proud to announce a historic milestone, having distributed over $10,000,000 in grants to non-profit agencies working with children in underserved communities.

Since its inception 25 years ago, the Milagro Foundation (Spanish for "Miracle") has functioned as a bridge between Santana’s artistic success and his deep commitment to social justice. By focusing on the "miracles" of health, education and the arts, the foundation has provided a lifeline to thousands of low-income children globally.

A Legacy of Impact

A Legacy of Impact

The foundation’s philanthropic efforts are concentrated in three pillar areas:

  • Educational Advancement: Supporting agencies that empower first-generation students to break cycles of poverty and attend college, as well as support for innovative pre-school through high school programs.

  • Holistic Wellness: Partnering with medical organizations to meet the critical health and nutritional challenges of children in need.

  • Creative Expression: Cultivating the next generation of visionaries by exploring and funding arts programs for youth.

Sustaining the Mission

The foundation’s work is fueled by a unique funding model that integrates Santana’s professional career with his philanthropy.

For every concert ticket sold, Carlos and the Santana Band donate a portion of the proceeds directly to the Milagro Foundation. These contributions, coupled with revenue from licensed Santana products and generous corporate and individual donors, ensure that every fan and consumer plays a direct role in changing a child's life.

"The Milagro Foundation is a way of giving back and making a difference in the lives of children who represent our future," says Carlos Santana. "It is an honor to witness the resilience of these young people and to provide the tools they need to succeed."

As the foundation looks toward the next 25 years, the commitment remains the same: to foster a world where every child is healthy, educated, and inspired.

The Milagro Foundation Mission

Established in 1998 by Carlos Santana and his family, the Milagro Foundation is a publicly supported 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Milagro makes grants to non-profit organizations that work with underserved and vulnerable children around the world in the areas of health, education, and the arts.

Milagro means "miracle." The image of children as divine miracles of light and hope, even as gifts to our lives, is the meaning of the name.

Supporting Children Together

IMMENSE GRATITUDE to our friend, fan and donor, David Smith (of Graystone Builders Inc., New Hampshire.) David, a Milagro donor since 2017, recently made a generous $100,000.00 gift to Milagro that helped him reach $500,000.00 in donations supporting Milagro's children.
