Milam Challenge students have one day of competition remaining in the MS Fall Stock Market Game. The game will end on Friday, December 18. Five of Milam's teams are currently holding the top five positions, and if the market holds firm, our top is clearly poised to win. According to today's rankings, Mrs. Caldwell's first place team has earned $29,665 in simulation profit, and their percent return is 23.9535% above the S&P 500.

 

This is Milam's first year to participate in the Mississippi Stock Market Game. This is also our first year to participate in a Fall Stock Market Game. Our previous participation occurred in the spring with Tennessee. Our students are benefitting from a unique learning experience this year promoting growth in investment experience because we are also going to participate in the Mississippi Spring Stock Market Game allowing students a chance to evaluate their fall portfolio, research, and make adjustments by selecting different portfolio investments second semester. We are thankful that Renasant Bank is sponsoring our participation in the game.
