Fresh greens are a hot commodity this time of year and some folks have been frustrated that it's already slim pickins when they show up at the start of the market. As a result, Farmer Steve will not be selling prior to 10am.

Asbury's selection this week includes: mesclun, lettuce, kale, claytonia, arugula, and sweet potatoes.

Apple Ridge Farm has been amping up their soup selection this winter! All their creations are made on farm with their own fresh produce.
Featured this week is a new Vegan Winter Stew. It's made with carrots turnips, potatoes, kale celeriac, and mushrooms in a rich tomato and vegetable stock. Creamy Roasted Root Vegetable Soup is also on the menu. This one includes carrots, onions, turnips and kale, pureed with cream and tomato stock. We suggest serving it with their new garlic bread! And if you're looking to make your own soup, Apple Ridge's Liquid Gold Chicken Stock is a great place to start!

Chef Ada has created a new delicious Recipe for this weekend! Try her Asian Quinoa Almond Slaw with cabbage, bell peppers, carrots, edamame, cucumber, scallions and cilantro, with an Asian Honey Vinaigrette. Hot soup for the soul... Caribbean Black Bean Soup, Italian Lentil Soup and Moroccan Squash Stew will be available hot in cups and bowls, along with other Farmstand Recipe frozen soups. 

Serving you, serves the community; a portion of all Recipe sales benefits the Easton Hunger Coalition to serve meal kits to those in our community who are food insecure!

You can always count on Don to come up with creative (and delicious) kombucha flavors. This week's line-up includes: Simon, Pinko, NBF, and Tropics. Not sure how you feel about kombucha? Stop by and try a sample. You may be surprised! It's a great alternative to sugary carbonated beverages, good for the gut, and an immune system builder.

Looking for a tropical vacation? A s pecial exotic Cherimoya is available this week only at the Farmstand. Native to southern Ecuador and northern Peru, Cherimoya have an intoxicating combination of tropical flavors similar to bananas, coconut, strawberries, and mangoes. The texture is velvety smooth, creamy, sweet and juicy. Warning: Do not consume the seeds.
New Glass Gem Corn!

This colorful corn is meant for grinding into cornmeal. Just pour into a high quality blender for a quick grind or a food processor for several minutes   Available by the pound.

Red with Envy

Envy is a new variety of apple with a striated, ruby red skin with green undertones and crisp, sweet white flesh.

Weekend Fun at the Farmstand

Tonight is Easton Out Loud from 5-9pm! The Farmstand is celebrating by offering Sacredly Natural Face Painting. Charlotte Mary will be at the market using Earth and People Friendly paints. These all natural earth based paints are non-toxic formaldehyde & paraben free! - $3 and $5 designs available.
Also - Cape May Peanut Butter Booth at the Farmstand! Free samples and a chance to win a free Peanut Butter Tower!
