We had Massive foamers of BIG Bluefin Tuna today in a huge spread, just miles of these fish within rage of our 1/2 day & 3/4 Day boats. The Western Pride 1/2 day runs are not normally targeting BIG Bluefin, and had just returned from a morning of really nice rockfishing when they stumbled across the Bluefin foamers. They managed to land one 80# tuna for their afternoon trip. Today made for some EPIC surface fishing for all anglers on the water. Again, many anglers were not prepared with heavy enough gear to land these BIG tuna today, with lots of heartbreaks, 4 hooked and 1 brought to the boat weighing in at 140lbs! Come prepared with at least one heavy set up (20-40lb rod min.) nothing lighter, with 40-80lb mono & matching floro leader. Capt. Mike is also recommending #2-2/0 circle hooks, and come with surface lure/iron/popper etc. to cast at a foamers + 4-10oz sinkers & rubber bands for sinker rigs if need be.

 We're also recommending to be prepared with a second set up 15-20lb line with matching flouro leaders, with #4-#2 hooks for. The water temp came up a few degrees today, and the fish are biting! Offshore fishing will be our primary target until it moves on. Keep an eye on our social media and fish counts, you don't want to miss out on another year of epic fishing!

The Aggressor & Thunderbird have been consistent with Bluefin Tuna and have had some Dorado & Yellowtail mixed in on their Overnight trips. Our next available overnight trip departs Monday, Sept. 4th on the Aggressor, departing at 8:55pm.
