UPDATES & INFORMATION:
ANNOUNCEMENT: All Milford Students Now Eat For Free

We are happy to announce that the Ohio Department of Education, under the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition Services, has notified our district that 100 percent of students attending Milford Schools (both In-Person and Eagle Online) are eligible for free breakfast and lunch through December 31, 2020. Any meal charges for September 1 and after will be credited back to the child’s meal account. Due to the large number of students, it may take a while for this to happen.

What this means is that all Milford students in grades Preschool through 12 will not be charged for meals they purchase at school. Eagle Online students who receive to-go meals will not be charged either. If you have pre-paid for your child's meals that balance will remain in your account until January 2021.

However, in order to possibly extend this benefit past December 31, 2020, we ask parents who think they may qualify for free and reduced meals to please fill out the Free and Reduced Price Meal Application (found here on our website). If families were approved last year they need to apply again this year. This benefits the District and plays a part in qualifying Milford Schools for future extensions of free meals district-wide.

(If you received a Direct Certification letter in the mail from Milford Nutrition Services, you do not need to apply. You will need to contact the Nutrition office if you have any children who were not listed on the letter.)

Eagle Online students need to first register to receive meals by calling (513) 576-2290 or (513) 576-4160. Packages of frozen meals for seven days will be available for pickup at Milford High School on Fridays between 7:45 and 8:15 a.m.

INFORMATION WORTH REPEATING:
WHAT TYPE OF MASK IS ACCEPTABLE?

All Milford students attending In-Person and all staff are required to wear a cloth face covering that covers their nose, chin, and mouth. Click here to download this printable guide.
IMPORTANT FOR THOSE ATTENDING IN-PERSON: PERFORM A DAILY WELLNESS CHECK

It is vitally important that parents perform daily wellness checks on their children before sending them to school.

Take your child's temperature each morning and if they have a fever above 100 degrees, do not send them to school. If your child is showing any of these symptoms, do not send them to school: fever, loss of taste or smell, cough, difficulty breathing, or shortness of breath.

UPDATED SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR

The academic calendar has been updated to reflect the new start day of August 31. No other changes were made.

SCHOOLOGY USED DISTRICT WIDE THIS YEAR

Milford Exempted Village School District is now using Schoology to streamline learning materials for students and parents throughout the district in grades K-12. With Schoology, students can view their class calendar, submit assignments, participate in interactive discussions, receive announcements and feedback, and take assessments.

Parents are able to view their child’s activity, calendars, and assignments within Schoology. The Schoology Calendar is a place for students and parents to view assignments to help students stay organized and parents stay informed. A reminder email will be sent every Monday afternoon to remind parents of their child's upcoming assignments. ProgressBook is still the platform parents will use to access student grades.

Whether students are learning In-Person, through Eagle Online, or remotely, Schoology is the one learning platform that all teachers and students will use.
