The only one associated with the Smithsonian on the Upper Mississippi River, this 12 acre campus is filled with opportunities to learn about all of the major rivers in the United States, touch a sting ray, take in movies, visit with an alligator and more.

The shortest, steepest railway in the world welcomes you to climb aboard and take a ride up the bluff. Spectacular views of the mighty Mississippi River and the Tri-States await you at the top!

Take a city tour aboard one of the Trolleys of Dubuque. Each holding up to 30 people, this is a great tour to get your group out to explore our historic community. Includes a stop at Eagle Point Park where you can overlook Lock & Dam #11 and possibly see a barge locking through.
