New Life Lutheran Church will give out free packets of native milkweed seeds at market this week and next, just in time for fall planting. This coming spring, those plants will help monarch butterflies as they migrate from Mexico to Canada. Native milkweed is the host plant for monarch eggs/caterpillars - increasing the number of plants is the best way to increase the number of monarchs, say lepidopterists. Pickup your free seeds at market today!
