Winter Weather, Health & Safety
Delays & Closings Due to Weather
Please remember that if the Manchester School District cancels school due to weather, we do as well. Notice of closings can be found on the WMUR TV channel and website. If school is cancelled, our Before, Kinder, and AfterCare programs, as well as all After School Activities, will also be cancelled.

Staying Healthy
It's no small challenge to stay healthy in NH during the winter. Today in backpacks you will find a letter sent to all families about how to recognize symptoms and follow protocol to keep everyone as healthy as possible in the Mill Falls Community. Thanks for taking a moment to review the letter which you can also view by clicking here

Outside Recess Attire
As long as Mother Nature cooperates, we take the children outside for recess (Accuweather real-feel must be 20 degrees or above). Please be sure to send your children to school every day with winter coats, hats and gloves so that they may safely enjoy the outdoors. If children don't have boots, they will only be allowed on the sidewalk and paved areas. If the snowy areas are too icy, all play will be restricted to paved and cleared areas.
See You On Tuesday!
A friendly reminder that there is no school on Monday, January 18th in observation of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.

Important Information About Attendance & Dismissal
Parents and Guardians, please review the following school guidelines about student attendance and dismissal procedures:

Absent or Tardy: If your child is going to be absent or tardy, please let us know! It is the parent's responsibility to inform the front desk and/or classroom teacher by phone or email BEFORE 10AM daily.

Length of Absence Unknown: If the length of the absence is unknown (due to medical or other), you must contact the school each day until the student returns to school.

Length of Absence Known: If the length of the absence is known, please email or call us with that information, as well as the reason for the absence. Please note, a verbal message from a student is not an acceptable form of communication -we must hear from a parent/guardian.

Ongoing Dismissal Arrangements: If there is a regularly recurring method of pick up (for example, Aunt will pick up every Wednesday), it does not need to be communicated every time, as long as it is occurs on a regular, consistent basis, and has previously been communicated to the school as being a recurring pick up method.

Changes to Regular Dismissal: If there are any changes to your student's regular dismissal method, you must inform the school by 2pm that day, and each time a change occurs.

2016 Calendar Raffle ... Join the Team!
MFCS Parent, Lisa Zonfrillo our Calendar Raffle Chairperson, is already hard at work collecting raffle items for this year's Calendar Raffle Fundraiser. Last year this project brought in over $8000! This year's goal is AT LEAST $10,000!

Our annual Calendar Raffle raises critical funds for Mill Falls, and is a great way to share fun prizes AND information about our public Montessori with friends, neighbors, relatives and colleagues.

If you can join Lisa in the calendar preparation, please send her an email: Lisa Zonfrillo.
