  Welcome Back!

Hoping everyone had a wonderful holiday season and a relaxing December break. Whether you traveled or staycationed, hosted or were guests, we hope that your days were filled with family, friends and fun!

~ Maria Montessori
Our staff returned one day before the students, and spent the majority of January 2nd at the second annual Convening of Northern New England Public Montessori Schools.
Organized by the Mill Falls in partnership with River Valley Charter School in Newburyport, the day offered all attendees a wonderful opportunity to share best public Montessori practices.  It was inspiring and energizing - a GREAT way to kick off the New Year!

  MFCS 2019 Lottery Begins!

It's hard to believe it, but the start of the New Year also means the start of our  2019 Lottery Season! The Lottery Application went live on January 3rd at 9am and will be available until March 11th. It is posted on our website; people who need a hard copy are asked to call the office at 603-232-5176.

Between now and early March, we will be hosting four
Lottery Information Sessions

We urge people who are considering applying to join us at one of these gatherings to learn more about our public Montessori model.

If you're reading this, you likely know that our 7-year program is quite different from traditional education settings. It's important that families who apply to Mill Falls understand the many unique qualities of our program.

Here are few things for Mill Falls Families
to keep in mind during this season:
  • If your child is currently enrolled you do not need to enter this lottery. We will soon be sending out the Intent to Return Form for you to complete and return to the front office. This will inform us of your plans for next year.
  • Siblings of currently enrolled students who will be 5 years of age by 9/1/19 and who have not yet been enrolled in previous lotteries MUST be entered into the 2019 Lottery in order to be entered into our system. If you do not fill out a Lottery Application for each of your children as they come of school age, they will not be in our enrollment or waitlist system. We sent this flyer home in backpacks today.

Wondering how can YOU help during the
2019 Lottery Enrollment Season?

Please share this link to our website's 2019 Lottery Page on your Facebook Page or other social media sites:

Stop into the Front Office to  pick up some flyers to post  in your local library, favorite cafe, community bulletin boards wherever you frequent.  Here is a PDF of the poster.

Touch base with other families you think would be a good fit for our school, and encourage them to attend one of our Information Sessions. Click here for the schedule.

Join us as an ambassador at one of our four Lottery Information Sessions scheduled between now and early March, or help provide some items for the Sessions.

  Community Corner

On Sunday, January 6th, enjoy a trip to the SNHU Campus and take in a game of women's basketball. Our own Alyssa Reaves, Assistant Teacher in the Glacier Room, is also one of the Assistant Coaches of the SNHU Women's Basketball Team.

Come on down and cheer on Alyssa and her team  as they play the Queens College Knights.

There is no charge!

The game begins at 1:30pm , and
will be played in the  Stan Spirou Field House at SNHU.  The half-time show is a scrimmage with students from Jewett Street School in Manchester, and after the game, Ms. Alyssa's players will do a meet and greet.
Hope to see you there!
