Lost & Found Coat Rack
Has your child been missing their jacket or sweater for a while? Well, it's probably on our coat rack!

We have had some cold mornings and hot afternoons, which means a lot of students are taking off their outer layers at recess and leaving them outside.

Please encourage your child to check our Lost & Found Coat Rack if they have misplaced an item of clothing.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Nov 24th: Fall Conference Day
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, November 24th. ALL students will be released at 11:15 that day. Conferences will begin at 12 and run until 8pm that evening.

Classroom teachers will be sending out online invitations next week so you can sign up for a time-slot using Sign-Up Genius.

If you will be needing Drop-In Child Care on the 24th and/or during your conference, please email Susanne at [email protected].
Girls On the Run!
The Girls on the Run season will soon come to a close, and to celebrate their hard work, the girls will be gathering for a 5k race on November 15th at 10:30 at Memorial Field in Concord NH. This race is open to public and we encourage all who are interested to register. Pre-registration ends November 13th but you may also register the day of the event as well. Our MFCS runners will be participating with their family members and 3 coaches. Please click here for the link to register.

As part of the Girls on the Run program, the teams are asked to participate in a community service project. Our GotR team decided they would like to support Animal Rescues in the area by holding a collection for animal food, blankets, toys etc. The GotR team will be begin collecting items on Monday, November 9th and end the collection period on Friday November 20th. Please click here to views the girls' flyer which will also be coming home in backpacks today!

Car Safety
Pick Up & Drop Off Reminders
The safety of our students and the success of drop off and pick up depends on all members of the Mill Falls Community following the steps we have mapped out.

Recently, we have seen repeated instances of parents parking their cars and getting out with their child, others who pull away before the car(s) in front of them are moving, and others letting their children off right at the sidewalk, instead of filling in the semi-circle.

We thank you all in advance for keeping our kiddos safe by driving extra safely and thoughtfully while on campus.

Someone else dropping off or picking up your child? Please make sure to explain the process to them!
Montessori Moments...
Me & My Shadow
This week, some of our Lower Elementary friends studied the impact of Earth's rotation on the seasons and then headed outside to trace their shadows.

Pumpkin Lab
This week our Kinder students concluded their Pumpkin Study with help from some of their Upper Elementary friends. Together the students, large and small, drew and described their pumpkins, predicted the number of seeds inside and the diameter and weight of the seasonal fruit they were studying. Guided by their older lab assistants, the Kinder students then weighed, measured and gutted the pumpkins to measure the accuracy of their predictions.

E-Homework...
A reminder that our E-Homwork program launched today! Look in your email inboxes for your child's Homework packets.

And the Winner Is...
MTA's School Bus Coloring Contest
In late October, the Manchester Transit Authority visited Mill Falls to teach our students about school bus safety.

During these presentations, the students participated in a district-wide School Bus Coloring Contest! There were 2 winners, one for grades K-2 and one for grades 3-5. Both winners were Mill Falls Students! Congratulations to our own Prakriti & Fthia!
