  Warmest Wishes!

This has been a week filled with exploration of celebrations and traditions at each of our Montessori program levels.

After weeks of study about the holidays that occur this time of year, including Dwali, Chanukah, Christmas & Kwanza - our Kinder and Lower Elementary Classrooms were visited by many family volunteers who helped facilitate some really fun hands-on experiences. These included gingerbread house decoration by our littlest kiddos and games and crafts by our Lower Elementary Students. Meanwhile, our Upper Elementary Students focused on their own family stories as part of their curricular study of human migration. On Thursday, each student presented their family's story and a family tree or family crest as part of their work.

This morning, we came together as a school community for our final All-School Meeting of this calendar year. Students presented some of their work from the week, the Kinder Students and members of the After School Chorus shared their voices in song, and Ms. Kristin led us all in our school favorite - Light a Candle for Peace. Please enjoy some photos from the week, below.

These seasonal studies, and related activities have become our school's traditions. Learning about our families, our roots, and those of our friends and neighbors helps students know more about one another, and about the world. This broadens the focus of the season and emphasizes all that there is to celebrate in this exciting time of year.

We'd like to take a moment to once again thank each and every one of you - our Mill Falls Family - for the kindness, grace, generosity and humor which you share with us. It is our pleasure to work together with you in support of our mission (a refresher below), which aims to help each and every student reach his/her highest potential!
