So much to celebrate this week!

After more than a few winter-storm delays, we have finally reached our 100th Day of School! For those of you who don't know, the 100th Day is a big deal around here. It provides us with the opportunity to step back, take a look at what we've accomplished and dream a bit about our future!

Our day began with an All-School Morning Meeting where a children's book about the 100th Day was read aloud by Ms. Laura B. Then we sat back and enjoyed a slide show set to music. This Annual 100 Day Slide Show shares this year's first 100 days in pictures, allowing us to reflect on and celebrate the hard work accomplished so far by our Staff and Students.

Throughout the day today, our students engaged in various activities related to 100 - from cup stacking to making wacky paper glasses, working with stackable lego pieces and more! As part of the celebration, many on our staff dressed as 100-year-old women. It's always a joyous affair with lots of laughs, and today was no exception! Please enjoy some images from our 100th Day shared below!

This week also featured Valentine's Day, which was overflowing with love and good wishes. Organized by the amazing MFCS parent, Hind, and assisted by Intisar and Ayat, the staff was treated to an incredible Valentines Day feast.

After lunch, the Staff gathered for a special celebration in honor of Ms. Laura W. who is preparing to welcome her babies. We are all so excited for Laura and her husband!

We are really looking forward to a GREAT Upper Elementary Dance tonight to close out the week. Thanks so much for the many donations of food and decorations you've sent in. Thanks, too, to our MFCS uncle, DJ Ron, who will donate his services to rock the house tonight, and to Ms. Colleen who has organized the event, and led the Student Dance Committee.

A reminder that school is closed on Monday for President's Day.
See everyone on Tuesday morning...barring a crazy winter storm, of course!
SAVE THE DATE, and Call Grandma!

We wanted to once again thank our community for the kindness with which you have been keeping our shelves full of delicious and healthy donated food for our families in need. Please keep it coming.
Thank you!

Montessori in Motion
So many ways to count to 100 in celebration of OUR 100th Day! 100 piece puzzles, fun-filled timed challenges like eating a cookie without using  your  hands, crafts, counting and building challenges all based on 100, and so much more!  As we celebrate, we also say thank you to all of our wonderful staff, students and families!

Meanwhile, earlier in the week...
Friends in all classrooms exchanged Valentine's Day cards.
In the Zion Room, students shot arrows made of q-tips and
guesstimated  just how far they would fly!

And no matter how busy we are,
there is ALWAYS time for a birthday walk...

Have a great weekend, and Happy 100th Day!
