 Visits and yet...more...snow...

Possibly our shortest week ever! But when we were together, there was SO much accomplished. We began the week by welcoming our students' beloved Grandparents & Special Friends. It was well attended and gave us the opportunity to share what we do with some of the most important people in our students' lives! Thanks to everyone who helped to make the annual morning event a great success!

This week also featured our  Spring Book Fair  which was set up and (wo)manned by a small army of MFCS moms. Thanks to that team, and to Laura W. for another great book fair.

This is Week 1 of our  2018 Calendar Raffle Sales PeriodIt takes our whole MFCS village working together to meet our fundraising goal for our annual spring school-based fundraiser. This year, Lisa Z, the MFCS Parent Coordinator of the Raffle Calendar Fundraiser, has set the goal at $15,000. Please be sure to help out by selling the calendars sent home in backpacks with each child. Speak to friends, families, neighbors and colleagues to help us meet our goal. Thank you!

We got a GREAT response to our call for volunteers for our 2018 Field Day Committee. There is just 1 spot left... please click here to sign up.

Looking for a spring sport for your child or hockey player? The Manchester Hockey Roos recommends lacrosse!  MPAL Thunderstix has open-registration for their spring lacrosse season. They focus on fundamentals, teamwork and fun. Click here to register or to learn more.

Due to the snow days over the past couple weeks, we have decided to move  2018 Spirit Week to March 26th - 30th!

Sales Period
is in Full Swing!
Last week, each student was sent home with a packet containing instructions and information about the 2018 offers you, your friends and  your  family a chance at many great prizes and brings critical funds to our public Montessori school.

This is our largest school-based fundraiser and the goal is to reach $15,000 in sales.

The Sales Window closes on March 27th...

All materials and raffle items have been donated, so every dollar raised will go to supporting our public Montessori School.

Here's How It Works:
  • The 2018 Mill Falls Calendar Raffle features many different prizes from local businesses.
  • Calendars can be purchased for $10 each.
  • Calendars may be purchased via PayPal or by cash or check.
  • Buy more then one to increase your chances of winning!
  • The winner's name goes back into the drawing to try to win again...that is 30 chances to win these great prizes for only $10 per calendar!
  • April is our prize month. A ticket will be drawn each day during the month of April to determine that day's prize-winner.
  • We will call/email lucky the daily winners and announce winners on our FaceBook Page:

Is your child missing a pair of gloves, hat or sweatshirt?!

They're probably at school!

Next time you come into school, please check out the coat rack and lost & found bin in the entry hallway.  Anytime there are unclaimed articles of clothing at school, this is where we put them.  The coat rack and bin are both  FULL

Please retrieve your child's belongings before it gets donated during our spring cleaning.
 2018 MFCS Enrollment Lottery

After School Programming & Updates

LetgoYourMind After School Program begins  Wednesday, March 21st

Each week the Letgo Your Mind Teacher will discuss key engineering and physics concepts and demonstrate how special LEGO® elements work together. Students might make vehicles that can travel 50 feet under their own power or glide down a ramp. They will use gears to make things move or spin! Students will create LEGO® builds with challenges to make them more complex. Participants will use LEGO® pieces that move with gears and a motor. Each session you'll take home lots of new ideas and fun memories, but not your LEGO® creations.  Please click here to view the flyer.
