 Spring...are you out there?

Hoping everyone had a GREAT February Break! We got right back to work this Monday, even with the curve balls Mother Nature threw us this week, weather-wise. Here's hoping the worst of the weather is behind us!

Sending a few HUGE shout outs to a few hard working MFCS parents along with our sincere thanks! Today Alicia, Gina and Lisa spent the morning setting up the Spring  Book Fair and it looks great! We still need people to sign up to help out at the Book Fair...see below!  You will also notice Lisa's handy work with an assist from Amy, in the preparation for our 2018 Calendar Raffle which rolls out today (see backpacks for your packets)! Join us in thanking this crew for their fantastic contributions of time, energy and creativity!

 Calendar Raffle Kick Off!

Today we kicked off the
2018 Calendar Raffle Sales Period!

Today, each student was sent home with a packet containing instructions and information about the fundraiser. The Calendar Raffle offers you, your friends and your family a chance at many great prizes and brings critical funds to our public Montessori school.

This is our largest school-based fundraiser and the goal is to reach $15,000 in sales.

All materials and raffle items have been donated, so every dollar raised will go to supporting our public Montessori School.

Here's How It Works:
  • The 2018 Mill Falls Calendar Raffle features many different prizes from local businesses.
  • Calendars can be purchased for $10 each.
  • Calendars may be purchased via PayPal or by cash or check.
  • Buy more then one to increase your chances of winning!
  • The winner's name goes back into the drawing to try to win again...that is 30 chances to win these great prizes for only $10 per calendar!
  • April is our prize month. A ticket will be drawn each day during the month of April to determine that day's prize-winner.
  • We will call/email lucky the daily winners and announce winners on our FaceBook Page: www.facebook.com/MillFallsCharterSchool

Each week the Letgo Your Mind Teacher will discuss key engineering and physics concepts and demonstrate how special LEGO® elements work together. Students might make vehicles that can travel 50 feet under their own power or glide down a ramp. They will use gears to make things move or spin! Students will create LEGO® builds with challenges to make them more complex. Participants will use LEGO® pieces that move with gears and a motor. Each session you'll take home lots of new ideas and fun memories, but not your LEGO® creations.
