Happy Spring (yet?)
The sun is shining again and we are optimistic that we have now seen our last snow storm! Let's hope...

It's been a busy week here. The children and staff have done a fabulous job of balancing Smarter Balanced Assessments with work and a few extra chances to let loose in between it all. Laura W put together a really fun schedule of visitors and activity leaders.
We kicked off the week with a Hip Hop/Zumba instructor Danielle from Ms. Kelsey's Dance Studio.  Special thanks to MFCS parents Ramon and Terri for bringing their great dance energy to school. Ramon led Latin Hip Hop classes, and Terri led Zumba sessions!  And today MFCS mom, Sarah Duffley, lead a Yoga class.

Fun was had by all during these breaks! Thanks to everyone who donated their time and energy!

Spirit Wear: One Week Left to Order!

All Spring Spirit Wear orders (forms and payments)  must be turned in by Friday, April 15th for May delivery.

Internet Safety
Unfortunately, Monday's spring snow storm forced a cancellation of our Internet Safety Event. While we hope to reschedule before the end of the school year, we did want to share some resources we'd planned on distributing at the gathering. Special thanks to Catie Brumm, our Technology Teacher and MFCS mom, for sharing resources and to MFCS dad, Sean Decowski, for putting together a list of suggested safety products. Please take a look at what they've shared:

Mathematicians in the Making!
Check out the new Math Challenge Board located in the hallway near the boys and girls bathrooms. This is a new adventure created by Colleen Lacroix our Math Interventionist.

Every Monday new Math Challenges will be posted on the Board, and we will encourage all of our aspiring Mathematicians in grades K-6 to try one or both challenges. The children will need to submit their solutions every Friday by 10:00 AM to be eligible for the weekly drawing to win a small prize. We will announce the previous week's Winners and Solutions every Monday - all of which will be posted on the Challenge Board!

Put those math caps on and start your engines...

Spring & Summer Fun
We are beginning to hear about some fun summer programs, and wanted to share those with you.

Ms. Kelsey's Summer Camp:
On Monday, Danielle, an instructor from Ms. Kelsey's Dance Studio, came to school to lead a Hip Hop class for our Smarter Balanced Assessment taking 3-6 graders. They kids LOVED it, and the instructor left behind this flyer about their Summer Camp.
