  Just 6 Weeks Left...

Welcome back everyone! We hope you had a fantastic April Vacation. At last the weather has turned to spring, no wait, summer! We are thrilled to see the sunshine and hope it stays with us now!

Today we met our new Kinder students and their families at our annual Kinder Interview Day. Special thanks to MFCS Parent Ambassadors, Lamis Gabr and Lauren Doukas for spending time at school this morning to help provide a warm welcome to the newest members of our School Community.

We have just 6 weeks left of this school year, and every week is jam-packed with all kinds of great activities.

Many of these activities will bring us together as a community and we hope that you will make every effort to participate in as many of the events as you can!

Please a few extra moments to review information about our upcoming plans highlighted in this week's newsletter, so that you are aware of all that will be taking place between now and the last day of school - June 14th!  Thank you!

Monday, May 7th
Annual All-School
Service Learning Day
at  the NH Food Bank

On Monday morning, all MFCS Students will head to the NH Food Bank to participate in our annual All-School Service Learning Day

In preparation, the classes of been discussing basic human needs related to nutrition and food sources and resources. Each year, we pack hundreds and hundreds of meals for NH's food insecure families.

As noted in the emails sent out by our classroom teachers, students must wear closed-toe shoes.

Additionally, if you are interested volunteering AND you have had a completed background check already on file with the front office, please email your child's teacher to let them know you will be joining us a volunteer.

Looking forward to seeing a few of you on Monday and, as always, looking forward to this annual event.

 We Have a Winner!

Congrats & thanks to Niedzwiecki Family! They are the winners of this month's raffle drawing of those enrolled in our Monthly Giving Program. They enrolled in the program this year, and their generosity is deeply appreciated. This month's small raffle - a small gift of our heartfelt appreciation - is a gift certificate to Starbucks.

This Program provides us with a predicable income of fundraised dollars throughout the year and provides donors with an easy way to share their support and treasure with us on a monthly basis.

  Facility Update

Outdoor renovation at 100 WLD is a work-in-process. Crews have worked this week to level the area which will be paved, and have been attending to the drainage challenges near the sidewalk. We have been told that the paving has been scheduled for early next week. We are REALLY looking forward to that new area and other improvements which we expect will be forthcoming.

If you have stopped by school, we hope you have noticed the beautiful Earth Day pots that have now been planted with colorful spring flowers. Special thanks to Ms. Mindy and Ms. Susanne for their work in bringing that project to life!
