Let the Work Begin!
|
|
This has been a very productive week for everyone at Mill Falls! Work cycles are in nearly full swing in our Lower and Upper classrooms. Reading groups, small group lessons, writing, spelling, all of the areas of our curriculum are coming alive in this new school year. The Montessori buzz in the air is palpable!
Special thank you to our teaching staff for the fantastic job they did in welcoming new and returning families at our Open House last night. Thanks to all of our parents and guardians who joined us. Our next gathering at school will be one of the most special nights at school - Bring Your Parent to School Night - stay tuned for details about that event
on
Thursday, October 20th, 6:30-7:30pm.
The students have had a blast at the Running Club this week, which we've organized in preparation for our
Best of Both Worlds 5K / Family Fun Walk/Run.
If you've not signed up for the Sunday, September 25th
5K/Fun Walk/Run
, please see the box below for more information!
Please keep an eye out for the first
E-Homework installment for all Lower and Upper Elementary students today. That will be sent to you by your child's teachers. Please direct any and all homework questions to your child's teacher.

New Drop Off & Pickup Routine
|
|
- Driving carefully & slowly through the parking lot;
- Following the traffic flow we have established this week;
- Looking out for incoming and outgoing buses as you enter school grounds and again when you approach the traffic circle;
- For continuing to display your MFCS Car Tags
- For having your children exit and enter your car on the passenger side.
- Should you need to come in to school during drop off, or pick up, please follow the traffic flow to the end of the upper parking lot and take the SECOND LEFT rather than the first left into the parking area.
We need your help and careful steering, every day, to be sure that everyone is safe at all times.

A Fun Community Project
|
|
Looking for a few handy men and women to help with a Community Project.
We have received permission from our landlord to paint some games onto the blacktop area used for recess. We are thinking FourSquare, Hopscotch and some lines for our Basketball players. We would also like to create some tables for chess/checkers, some benches made from logs, and have a few other ideas for outdoor games to be placed in other areas of our outdoor space. If you are interested in helping bring these ideas to life, please contact
Meryl.Levin@millfalls.org
.
Thank you for your support!!
