CORPORATE SPONSORS

We gratefully acknowledge the ongoing contributions from the following corporate partners:

Montessori Shared
Thank you to all who joined us for our
2017/18 Bring Your Parent to School Night . In each classroom, our students proudly walked their guests through a mini Montessori Work Cycle, providing time for families to engage with the beautiful materials used by our students at every program level. This is one of the most important nights here at Mill Falls because the evening  is largely led by the children and it brings generations together to celebrate our public Montessori approach.

While everyone was in the house, we opened up the Fall Book Fair for an evening shop. A HUGE thank you to the Book Fair Team - Jen D., Gina, Alicia, Lisa, Mark B., Lauren D., and Jen H. You have worked so hard to make the Fair look great and you've made it so easy for the students to make great reading choices this fall.

Picture Re-Take Day has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 15th.
Please contact Susanne with any questions.

Please help us by taking a moment to fill out an event survey about our recent Road Race & Fun Run. While the event was joyful and fun was had by all who joined in, attendance was down significantly from last year. We've created this survey to provide you with the chance to offer your feedback so we can learn and improve our offering next year.

We are so grateful for Jim Malone, who has stepped up as the lead Coordinator for our 2018 Ski Club!!! We are continuing our search for a co-coordinator, someone to help be a  liaison team between the MFCS Club and  McIntyre Mountain,  our Ski Club partner. The  MFCS Ski Club is available for 1st-6th year students on Tuesday's from 4-6pm. The Ski Club Coordinators are the communication point for McIntyre, help organize the kids on Club days here at school at the end of  the  school day, and coordinate with Ski Club Families to be sure there is adult presence at the Mountain each week. The MFCS Kinder class is scheduled for Tuesday's 12:30-1:30pm and that is not part of the MFCS Club.

Interested in filling the Co-Coordinator role this year,
to assist our Lead Coordinator?

Thinking about participating in Ski Club?

Please  mail the Front Office ASAP!

The Butterflies came alive this week in the Yosemite Room! The children have watched carefully as the animals prepared to exit their  cocoons , and while they waited they read The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The children also have been engaged in some related work to further their understanding the life cycle of the butterflies in their midst. Once hatched...Ms. Kristin and Ms. Kayla brought the children outside to release the critters into the wild (see below)!

We are thrilled to share the news that Mill Falls will be participating in the 10th Northeast Delta Dental Youth Leadership Summit - an event hosted in Concord, NH by the CEO of Northeast Delta Dental and former NH Board of Education Chair, Tom Raffio and organized by John Jay Bonstingl of Bonstingl Leaders for the Future

This Summit is comprised of 6 schools from New Hampshire and each school has chosen 5 students to participate in an activity-oriented day of fun. Students will spend 95% of their time working together to learn and develop leadership skills to be used within our school and hopefully in our community.
Stay  tuned for more info in next week's newsletter!
