Celebrating Earth Day with First Customer "Check-In" Reports!
Last year proved to be anything but business as usual. You never stopped working to serve your community, even in uncertain times, and we understand how truly essential you are in keeping all of our lives "livable".

With that, we are excited to announce the launch of our first official “Customer Check-In Package”. We’ve put together a few items to say thank you, along with custom reports and resources to help make this year a success.

You should be receiving your package by the end of this week if you have not already (one per hauler). Going forward, we will be sending these out twice a year, coinciding with Earth Day (April 22) and America Recycles Day (November 15).

These packages are meant to help us check-in on how you’re doing, help you inform and educate your customers, and give you an opportunity to provide us with feedback.

City of Sioux Falls: Sustainability
The City of Sioux Falls is currently assessing its sustainability goals to meet the community's needs now and into the future.

They are asking for input from people in the Sioux Falls and surrounding areas to help decide new goals and actions for sustainability. Responses will be used to update the City's Sustainability Master Plan.

Lithium-ion batteries are ‘ticking time bombs’ for recycling facilities.

These batteries pose significant as they hold residual charge after being discarded. When punctured, they enter “thermal runaway” and release stored energy.

The thermal runaway can lead to a fire, often heavily damaging ($8.5 million in repairs at a CA MRF).

It is CRITICAL to keep batteries and electronics out of the single stream. Please help us spread the word!
