New Education Guide
We're happy to announce we have a new educational guide available to all of our customers!

A national trend is moving towards unified education across all communities. We believe in this effort and have designed the new Millennium guide in line with the national label design.

The new guide is available for sharing and downloading on our website and is also available to any hauler or municipal customer upon request.

We can customize this guide with your logo, your brand colors and any specifications your program requires based on your needs.

For customers located in the Sioux Falls area, the City of Sioux Falls will also be making their new city guide available as well with the same categories.

Please let us know if you would like copies of the new guide to distribute to your customers, or a customized version made.
Glass is Here to Stay
Our team has received many questions from confused residents asking if we are no longer recycling glass. The strong need and consistent market for glass material in the recycling industry means it is here to stay. Millennium's process is built to handle glass bottles and jars, and we have no plans to remove it from the material stream.

We are continuing to work on the challenges that go along with recycling glass, including contamination caused by batteries and rising freight costs. However, the benefits of glass recycling are clear. Producing glass from crushed, recycled glass uses 30% less energy than silica mining, and glass bottles and jars can be recycled over and over again.

Update on Plastic Bags
Since the announcement of no more plastic bags in the single stream, we have seen a slight reduction in the amount coming in. We appreciate you helping us spread the word!

As a reminder, fees for excess plastic bags in single stream loads will begin August 1, 2019. Please let us know if you have any questions.
REMINDER: RATE ADJUSTMENT COMING SOON
  • Market Rate Adjustment for Single Stream (SS) Grades: August 1st, 2019.
  • Single Stream (SS) Grade Flat-Fee: January 1, 2020.
