NJDOE Invites Public Comment on ESSA Statewide Assessments Waiver Request
The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) is making available for public comment a draft of its request to the United States Department of Education (USED) to waive the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requirement to administer the statewide assessment system for the 2020-2021 school year. Comments, concerns, and general feedback must be submitted by email to ESSA@doe.nj.gov by March 5, 2021 at 5:00 pm. See full memo HERE.
